On this Sunday, May 28, 2023, the Sunday before Memorial Day, I'd like to share this beautiful commemoration of one man's idea of patriotism.  He delights with a lyrical narration of patriots from all walks of life from America's founding and forming of a Constitutional Republic to the present day.  Fred Thompson captures the spirit of America's people  by telling the dramatic and authentic story of the contributions and sacrifices made by the Founding Fathers and the Revolutionary soldiers who won Independence.  He honors Lincoln's courageous and patriotic fight to end slavery and the soldiers who fought and died to win that freedom.  On Memorial Day we commemorate our men and women who fought and died in two World Wars to defend European allies, those who fought and died in Korea, Vietnam and most recently those who fought and gave their lives in Dessert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan.  Add to that list of patriots, the First Responders and civilians who gave of themselves so heroically when our country was savagely attacked on 9/11.  If Fred Thompson were alive today he would honor the patriotic doctors, nurses, hospital personnel, Firemen, Police and employees in food service and delivery drivers who never stopped working during the Covid outbreak.

I always enjoy this video and the eloquent performance of Fred Thompson every time I listen to it and I know you will too!  I came upon this blogpost today as I scrolled through my posts.  I had forgotten how  beautiful it was and then realized it was not a coincidence that I found this today.  Monday is Memorial Day, a day to remember Great Americans!   I am proud to be an American!  I love God, my Family and my Country and Fred Thompson conveys this message with pride!  I share his passion, his belief in God's Providence and in God's will to keep America strong and free!!
