Islamic Extremists Slit Christian Pastor’s Throat for Refusing to Renounce His Faith, Gun Down Teens as Horror Rages in Nigeria

LAGOS, Nigeria (TheBlaze/AP) — The pastor would not renounce his Christian faith so the Islamic extremists slit his throat.

High school students were taking exams in defiance of the militants of Boko Haram, whose name means “Western education is forbidden.” So the gunmen mowed them down at their desks.

The group that Nigeria’s government has declared a prohibited terrorist organization “declared war” last week on vigilante youths who have been arresting suspects and handing them over to soldiers fighting to crush the insurgency in the northeast part of Africa’s most populous nation and the continent’s biggest oil producer.

Clearly, the situation is dire.

The radical group that once attacked only government institutions and security forces is increasingly targeting civilians. Some 155,000 square kilometers (60,000 square miles) of Nigeria are now under a state of emergency.

This is frightening.  He is openly attacking everything we know to be dear and precious and Constitutionally protected as if it is some kind of outdated idea that could be abandoned without consequence. Or better put is to produce his desired consequence, where God is replaced with the state. Where the state and leaders have the answer to all human ills.  In Obama's world he is the one, he is the answer.   His reality does not and never will allow for Religious freedom, do we need any other proof?

President Barack Obama is looking to get his groove back — at the beach.
A post-Hurricane Sandy tour of the New Jersey coast line on Tuesday, gives the president a chance for a three-point play that can move him ahead of the recent controversies that have dogged the White House. With New Jersey's Republican Gov. Chris Christie at Obama's side, effective government, bipartisanship and economic opportunity will be the unmistakable message in the face of the coastal recovery.
For Obama, the tour helps him continue redirecting the political conversation after two weeks of dealing with the fallout over the administration's response to terror attacks last September in Benghazi, Libya, the targeting of conservative groups by the Internal Revenue Service and the Justice Department's review of journalist phone records as part of a leak investigation.

The visit occurs as Congress is away for a Memorial Day holiday break, a weeklong recess that likely will silence the daily attention lawmakers, particularly Republicans, had been paying to the three political upheavals. My Statement on the death of Hugo Chavez
Dead at 58, an enemy of America is gone 
    I just came across this article (link below)  while reading about the Venezuelan dictator's death.  My daughter lived in Doral, Florida while attending school and I saw first hand the instinct of a strong people to escape a dictator's policies and start over in America, where people are still free to make choices.  At least in 1999 they were.  Before reading the article this morning I was thinking about my daughter's friend who fled Venezuela on the urging of his mother who feared for her children's future and the future of her country.  I could only imagine the fear that must have consumed his mother and the people of Venezuela as they anticipated the fist of a totalitarian leader...and then as a mother, I could only imagine the courage it took to insist your children leave for the promise of a free and prosperous life.  This is a story I hope to tell in greater detail, for those who have forgotten the blessings of America and for those who found security and comfort in the most generous country the world has known.  Upon arriving in this country, Venezuelans took advantage of the economic opportunity and they prospered and contributed to the growth and development of Doral, a vibrant community in Miami, Florida.  Read more
