An unfinished Tower 1 rises spectacularly from the construction site and people, young and old alike, some not even born at the time of the attack are gathered to remember. There was something so moving about being part of this group of people, something so special about the shared commitment of preserving the legacy of each and every one of our fallen heroes. I felt a spiritual bond that day, a purpose we share, and common goals we seek, of honoring the victim's lives, of conveying the truth about 9/11 and of educating others about the persistent threat of Radical Islam.

Ten years have passed since that life changing day. I never fully understood the meaning of those words until our lives stood still and our hearts were broken on that fateful day September 11, 2001. Those of us who witnessed the tragedy through the eyes of people who lost loved ones, will never be the same. The mourning we felt for the murder of so many innocent lives is a feeling we can never forget. But we can't begin to understand the emptiness and loss family members carry with them every day. A sister who lost her fire-fighter brother that day said she didn't think we needed the slogan, "Never Forget", to remember the heinous acts of that day. "How could we ever forget?" she said. And now she sees political correctness being practiced at every level to do exactly that, but we will Never Forget our heroes and the terror and slaughter that was perpetrated on them that day.

The sister of fire-fighter Sean Tallon, Rosaleen Tallon(2nd video), fights for the proper resting place for her brother, a place that will respect and honor his memory. A place that will preserve the events and emotions of that day and a place that is untouched by a symbol of an ideology that seeks the destruction of America.

NEW YORK (CBS) — After a suffering a “shellacking” in the midterm elections, President Obama acknowledges what many have seen as his chief weakness – failing to sell the importance of several legislative milestones to the American people.

“I think that’s a fair argument. I think that, over the course of two years we were so busy and so focused on getting a bunch of stuff done that, we stopped paying attention to the fact that leadership isn’t just legislation. That it’s a matter of persuading people. And giving them confidence and bringing them together. And setting a tone,” Mr. Obama told 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft in an exclusive interview set to air Sunday.

Let me translate the Obamaisms:

For once he's right, Leadership isn't about him as leader or his legislation or his idealogical whims, and it certainly is not about him giving us confidence. Many of us possessed all the confidence we needed to stop his out of control leadership and we are confident, with a majority in the House and greater representation in the Senate we will reverse his policies and his idealogical agenda. Hats off to our Intelligent, Confident Electorate for recognizing a narcissist for what he is, a man who claims, "We are the ones we've been waiting for."

An Historic Day in America

Today is the day to get out and vote and tell those in Washington they are fired for not listening to the people.

I have been at work for over a year now, with a very specific goal of educating my circle of family and friends and community, of the overreaching policies of the current administration. Myself and so many other patriotic Americans found ourselves drawn to a cause that was greater than ourselves. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, sisters, brothers, young and old, knew that our way of life was under a new kind of attack, an attack from within, with a plan to transform and dismantle America as we know it.
It's as simple as that, but complicated to the everyday person to conceive, that there are forces at work and blueprints being drawn that will have the inevitable result of a more dependent, less free nation. That's not the country we want to turn over to our children and grandchildren. Which leads me to why I became involved in local politics. I began to see the wisdom of the saying, "All politics is local." We must start with our local communities, towns, cities and states to start to effect change. And many Long Island residents have been doing exactly that! We will begin tomorrow by electing candidates who believe in less government and who embrace policies that guarantee a return to fiscal health, job growth and the power of the individual.

A Citizen's Impression of Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Event

It's Wednesday after the Glenn Beck Event, perhaps one of the most touching tributes to our country, it's heroes and our Creator. It took place on a beautiful summer day, Saturday, 8/28 in front of the monumental Lincoln Memorial. There couldn't have been a more fitting backdrop for such a notable occasion. What struck me once again was the spirit of the American people (hundreds of thousands of them) and their enduring commitment to stand together for the sake of their country, upholding principles that are timeless and certain. Those principles are the building blocks that gave birth to our great nation and the framework that has sustained our way of life through good times and bad, through war and peace, through prosperity and depression and through complacency and awakening.

You might say that the competing forces of complacency and awakening are always occurring throughout the history of a nation . To some degree that is true, but never has our nation been so complacent as to not recognize the fraud so skillfully perpetrated on them. While we were asleep for decades, destructive forces were at work with few significant voices of opposition. Liberal voices in government, in the media, in academia, and in entertainment were influencing the dialogue and conscience of the people. Over the years these voices promoted the dissolution of America, her standing in the world and her grandeur as the beacon of freedom and they infected every aspect of American life. They succeeded in their most diabolical act when they collaborated to have the most inexperienced, dishonest and emotionally vacant individual elected to the presidency, an office till now, reserved for competent and intellectually honest individuals.

Which brings me back to Glenn Beck. Thank You, Glenn, for awakening many from their slumber and for providing a venue for people like myself to hear the truth and to support you for being brave enough to advocate for truth and honesty. We are no longer the silent majority, but a majority that has found our voice through various mediums; Tea Party Rallys, Town Hall meetings, discussion groups in our homes and political blogs. We are grateful for your steadfast approach to tackling the issues that plague our country. We admire your commitment to rejuvenate the spiritual component that precipitated the founding of our nation and we share your belief that our faith is just as important today.

Your delivery was superb, your message was clear and the audience responded with astounding approval. We knew we attended this event for a special reason and we knew we would leave energized and with the urgency needed to save our nation. We experienced once again all that is great about America as we did 1 year ago on the lawn of the Capitol at the 9-12 March. Your event couldn't have been staged more appropriately, in line with the glistening beauty of the Reflecting Pool. Your eloquent performance, Sara Palin's espousing of love of country, the bravest of the brave servicemen evoking pride and appreciation, the Ministers profession of faith, all reflected the character of the people in the crowd and the strength of their convictions. As a regular person and a participant in the Restoring Honor Event I am proud to say I was there and lucky to be able to share it with others. Glenn, you had a vision of something extraordinary, and your vision was fulfilled. The day's events reflected the American people's resolve to act when our country calls, to prepare the way for a renewal of American ideals of faith, hope and charity and to restore the honor and integrity that made our Country great.

Regarding the financing of the Cordoba Initiative: "... questions about the financing. [SNIP] Imam Rauf, who's also the founder of American Society for Muslim Advancement, ASMA, was an investor in that transaction. The balance of the $100-150 million total cost still needs to be raised, but Rauf says he's confident it will be. Jasser says that with such a financial commitment, there needs to be full disclosure about where the money is coming from.

"There should be transparency about who those investors are," he said, " whether that money is coming from domestic interest or not and if it's coming from foreign interests we need to know because I think that's a liability and it shows that there is another agenda rather than domestic security and tranquility."

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — New York Rep. Eric Massa is blaming his resignation on a conspiracy led by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and House Democratic leaders to force him out before a crucial vote on healthcare.

Massa was one of 39 Democrats who voted against an earlier House version of the healthcare bill in November. Democratic leaders will "stop at nothing" to advance the healthcare overhaul, he said.

Humility Eludes Obama

Does the man have any sense of what it means to be a citizen of the greatest country in the history of the world? I know the answer to that question and so do a growing number of Americans who have become tired of the same old lines that lead to the same old incongruous arguments and recommendations. Some people have just started to get your number Obama, we got you at "I've known Rev. Wright for almost 20 years." "I denounced the comments that appeared in those previous sermons, as I said I had not heard them before." You sat there 20 years and those things were said and you heard them! Maybe it's that selective hearing you have Obama, like not hearing the American people at town hall meetings, not hearing the voice of the electorate in the historic mandate in Massachusetts, and ignoring the persistent voice of the people as it echoes in the halls of congress. The people have spoken. We DON'T want your Anti-American agenda. You can humble yourself and hear the words that ring loud and clear from the American people or you can use your selective hearing, making our words meaningless and Obama, omnipotent. It's funny how a man who understands the importance of words, so much so, that in a 2008 Campaign speech in Wisconsin he said, "Don't tell me words don't matter!", has the audacity to render words meaningless when they don't promote his socialist, anti-free market agenda. Isn't that how all dictators operate?

You are so predictable in your actions that it would be funny, if it wasn't our country you were destroying. It is your objective to undermine the greatness of American ingenuity and productivity as spelled out in your attempt to surrender U.S. control of our greatest 20th Century advancement, the Internet. Just yesterday, Feb 1, Obama stated in "The You Tube Interview with President Obama" at youtube.com that he is pursuing Healthcare legislation and that they are at the 5 yd line for passage, as if he had the votes to do it. This is more Obama arrogance and a disconnect to the people he serves. He insulted the interviewer with irrelevant gibberish about being the most transparent White House since the founding of the republic, in reply to, " Why haven't you (Obama) fulfilled your Campaign promise of having a transparent Healthcare debate?" He continued that the congressional hearings were televised. They always are and will be after Obama. He had nothing to do with that. Then he casually acknowledged that the meetings he had with legislators were not on Cspan and avoids admitting that the most important negotiations that would have serious impact on the people, those with Big Pharma, Insurance companies, Medical Professionals and Unions were kept secret.

It's not surprising that Obama is using his charm to appeal to younger, more impressionable audiences. After all who is more vulnerable to the likes of Obama. He projects a youthfulness and uses it to relate to young adults as he did when he was a community organizer. He uses the jargon, along with the community service theme and his commitment to their future (which is tied to mandatory service) to impress them and draw them in. It's similar to his Campaign and the soaring rhetoric that dazzled the masses. Youtube is a perfect medium to establish a bridge to our young, as revealed in the interview cited above. But Obama doesn't stop there. His latest ploy is recruiting high school kids in Ohio to get involved in Organizing for America, a propaganda tool of the Obama Administration.This kind of activity is Un-American and should be reported openly by the main stream media. This is unacceptable indoctrination of our youth and should be brought to the public's attention.

Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America is (and I quote) recruiting in our high schools to "build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda" ............of national socialism.

This is incredible. And evil. Suffer the little children -- enlisted like SS youth. This is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it's his own private breeding farm. Once again academic learning and achievement is hopelessly abandoned, and supplanted by radical leftist activism from the leftwing Alinsky indoctrinators in the perverse public school system.

Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school.

I started writing this piece as an email to send to the people in my contact list. It was supposed to be short and sweet, conveying my outrage once again at the lack of esteem Obama is showing our great country by wanting to surrender the internet to foreign powers. Once again brevity would not do justice to the topic because this is not an isolated news issue, but one of a host of issues occuring daily whose goal is to undermine our place as leader of the free world, our national security and our preservation as a nation.

With 75% of the vote counted, Republican Scott Brown was leading his opponent, Massachusetts' Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley 52.7% to 46.3%, according to the Associated Press, which declared Mr. Brown the winner.

The Brown victory forces the White House and congressional leaders to decide how—or whether—to salvage their long-sought health-care overhaul. Rushing the bill after losing Massachusetts carries political risks. So does letting it collapse.

The News Hub takes a look at a special election that threatens to tip the Senate's balance of power and undermine President Barack Obama's policy agenda. MarketWatch's Robert Powell reports from Massachusetts with more.

House Democrats Tuesday opened the door to passing the Senate version of the legislation, which the president could then sign into law. The White House has floated that idea, but it will be a hard sell. The Senate bill contains abortion, immigration and tax provisions opposed by many House members.

Anticipating rough sledding for the bill, the S&P health-care sector stock index surged by more than 2% Tuesday, leading all other industry sectors, with managed-care stocks posting strong gains.

Inside the Park Plaza hotel in Boston, thousands packed the second-floor ballroom. Waiting for Mr. Brown to appear, the crowd chanted, "John Kerry's next, John Kerry's next." Later the chant went up, "Yes we did, Yes we did," a tweak at Mr. Obama's 2008 signature line.

Visions of Sugar Plums Dance In Our Heads as
the Obama Machine Prances and Forges Ahead

The news never stops is a lead in to a news network broadcast on a radio station or is it somebody describing the overly ambitious Obama machine in its quest to quickly transform our government with astounding speed and precision. While the machine is at work 24-7, there are bloggers, alternative media and dedicated patriots bringing the unreported news to the American people. This week some slow down to rejoice in the glory of our savior's birth as we worship, celebrate and spend warm, cozy times with family and friends.

With the Obama administration there is no down time, so to speak. As watchdogs, we cannot let our guards down. Can you believe that this is what we have come to in one short year? Many of us knew the consequences of this presidency. Now we understand the dimension of the consequences and the temerity it takes to defend our liberty.

With our heads turned to the tidings of the season, Obama, 9 days before Christmas (Dec. 16), amends an executive order. Why... with people's attention turned to other things it was the perfect time for Obama to alter a sentence in Executive Order 12425, giving added privileges, exemptions and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). An organization that otherwise enjoys limited privileges and immunities, extended to them by President Reagan in EO 12425, will now enjoy the two sets of privileges and immunities that were previously withheld in Sec 2c of the order. Obama removed the exemptions, making INTERPOL immune from search and seizure.

The implications are vast, considering INTERPOL has a headquarters in Washington and a separate INTERPOL agency has been created in the Department of Justice. Are you getting the picture? It's not a good one! Can info be conveniently transferred to an agency in the DOJ and due process undermined? What do you think?

Nudge, nudge folks… This seems a minor change but let us break it out for you as we see it. Let’s look at the section from Executive Order 12425.

Here’s the text of 2(c), which this Executive Order now has applying to Interpol:

(c) Property and assets of international organizations, wherever located and by whomsoever held, shall be immune from search, unless such immunity be expressly waived, and from confiscation. The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable.

This now says that Interpol is no longer subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Their premises or staff can no longer be searched either. Their files are not subject to legal subpoena or discovery. Our government could just hand documents and files over to Interpol and Americans would no longer have access to them. Interpol can legallyPost Options keep files now on all citizens of the US with no right to redress.

In reality, we have just handed over our sovereignty. Interpol headquarters in the US is currently headquartered in the Department of Justice. A ‘separate’ Interpol agency has been created in the DOJ – let that sink in for a moment. Interpol has been granted diplomatic immunity now by Obama – they have exemption from being subject to search and seizure by law enforcement, US taxes and immunity from FOIA requests, etc. This action could also be used to divulge American military secrets and a whole host of horrific practices having to do with going after our military. It’s the road to internationalism on steroids.

This is serious stuff and it demands serious scrutiny by the American people, so you have your work cut out for you. Now you must educate yourself, educate others and ask for answers from the executive branch. Write local newspapers, call radio stations, make this a priority or accept the assaults on our system until submission is the only choice.

9/11 NEVER FORGET COALITION RALLY

We are civilian soldiers fighting the a battle of our lifetime, confronting an amorphous enemy, an enemy that is not defined on a battlefield or by uniform. We are fighting an enemy that is not perceived as such and, that, is its greatest advantage. It will continue to be its most effective weapon in this war, one that eludes the opponent, producing complacency and inaction.

This complacency takes many forms among our citizenry. As the foot soldiers in this battle we are aware of the lack of interest and of the lack of understanding about the insidious nature of this enemy. We work hard to educate our fellow citizens about the imminent danger of our situation. We reach many, but there are still those that prefer to ignore the signs and resort to denial. We must continue to educate and fight with the tremendous resources of citizen action groups (Tea Party Groups,Alternative Media Sites,Citizen Bloggers), Organizations like 9/11 Never Forget Coalition, Dick Army's FreedomWorks, Move America Forward PAC, Our Country Deserves Better PAC, Tea Party Patriots, Conservative Society for Action and many others
and we must continue to expose the deceit that poses as a legitimate administration in Washington. Are those words too strong....GOOD, they were meant to be.

I have never seen so many heroic, courageous, passionate, and committed people in the last 9 months, as I have organized, attended, rallied and filmed the Tea Party events. These dedicated people are my inspiration, my fellow patriots. The people who are responsible for creating a new voice, a consequential voice, a voice responsible for postponing a monumental vote in July that would have activated the OBAMA TRANSFORMATION of America. God Bless these Patriots and the dedication they have shown in fighting the expansion of an Obama government and in preserving the sanctity of the individual and liberties of our Constitution.

I am proud to be a member of this Patriotic Band of Brothers and Sisters and have once again had the honor of joining them side by side to remember the fallen heroes of the 9/11 attack on our homeland. We must never forget the valiant acts of that day, and we must never forget that they took on a soldier's role with no forewarning that the enemy was at hand and a war was waged. In honor of their courageous acts we must see to it that the amorphous enemy be tried like every other war criminal. It was an attack and it was an act of war and those who planned and executed the attack must be treated and tried in a Military court, as provided by our system. This is what our country has done in the past and it is what it must do in the face of a most treacherous and shrewd enemy. They must be tried as enemy combatants, not criminals who perpetrated a crime. They must not receive the rights of an American being tried in a Civilian Court.

We must fight this travesty and all the other attempts designed to weaken America's resolve in the fight against foreign terrorism and terrorism being cultivated within our own borders. We must remain vigilant, true to our convictions and ready to fight for everything we believe in if we want to recognize our country in three years. Crowds Throng to Washington for Historic Event

I am proud to say I was one of those million people who answered the call to advance our movement and I left more energized and ready to inspire others to keep up the fight.

Anyone in attendance would agree that the day symbolized the strength and determination of the American people to stand up and defend their country from the erosive policies coming out of the Obama Administration. It also established, if it wasn't already, an exhilaration or momentum of emotion to continue to work even harder, as we battle to sustain our liberty. Because the American people understand what is at stake, they joined forces and efforts from around the country to produce the rally of all rallies, a March that is being estimated by Washington Parks and Recreation, to have reached 1,000,000, maybe more.

I was there, I can attest to those estimates. From sheer observation, standing in front of the Capital, what was supposed to be the destination of the march, was really the beginning of a multitude of people taking up every square inch of street from The Capital, down Constitution Ave to Pennsylvania Ave, to Freedom Plaza, which is about 1.5 miles.

There is a model that was used to determine previous crowd sizes in Washington and according to that model the count on 9/12 easily reached a million.

Are we surprised that the mainstream media won't report accurate numbers? Not only won't they report accurate numbers, they continue to distort the significance of the movement and the people. They continue to invent scenarios as if they are credible accounts. I watched a guest on Sunday morning (day after Wahington March), Fox News America HQ, with host Shannon, describe the 9/12 event as another rally to create disturbance (if anyone saw the interview, please contact me with her name). This woman was probably not in Washington, but yet she will make an erroneous statement and it will be put out there as fact, when it couldn't be further from the truth. As you can see from my pictures there couldn't have been a more harmonious crowd. They gathered with families; babies, children, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers and friends and neighbors in the grandest show of support to Take Back what Lincoln said, is a government "Of the People, By the People and For the People".

Our movement will always be guided by the principles of the Founding Fathers, who knew the cost of establishing freedom and the infinite cost of protecting it. We must be guardians of this incredible gift of America that has contributed not only to its own people, but to the freedom and well being of people around the globe. We must stand beside her and and be guided by the words of our first president, George Washington, who said,
"The power under the Constitution will always be in the hands of the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can, and undoubtedly will, be recalled".

A Day of Remembrance

Let's never forget why people gather on September 11, every year. Most of us have an indelible image in our minds, that will never be erased. As much as Barack Obama wants to replace the meaning of the day with his self-serving agenda, we won't allow it. We will fiercely oppose him. It is our day to pay tribute, now and always, to those who died innocently, to those who bravely sacrificed, to those who persevered in the face of tragedy and to fellow Americans who stand strong in defense of our nation and its Constitution.

We must reject Obama' s immoral conception of superceding the real meaning of 9/11, with his phony dedication of a Day of Service and his audacity to force it on us on this most solemn day. What was wrong with dedicating another day to service? Nothing, except that his real motive wouldn't be accomplished, to erase the meaning of 9/11. You can't control our minds, how we think and feel or remember. Although if you get your hands on healthcare you'll have succeeded in being as close to God in making life and death decisions.

We must reject Obama and his policies, his revision of America and the significance of our history. We are our history, we are a wonderful collage of many races, ethnic groups, religions, diverse opinions and histories. Not one of us would want to relinquish any part of our identity and neither would any one of us deny any part of our shared American identity. So Mr. Obama stop manipulating history for your gain and to promote an UNPOPULAR agenda. We know you.

President Obama misspoke and did not intend to mislead the public when he said AARP had endorsed his health care legislation pending in Congress, the White House said Wednesday.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters that Obama did not mean to misinform Americans when he said Tuesday at a town hall in Portsmouth, N.H., that the senior lobby had backed his legislation.

CSA Hands off Healthcare Rally

The combined efforts of Tea Party groups across Long Island produced another impressive turnout today, Sat., Aug. 8th. Regular citizens took the time to exercise their 1st Ammendment Right to assemble peaceably. Hats off to a show of committed citizens who have a selfless stake in the preservation of our Democracy and the Constitution, the breath that sustains our great republic.

There is an amazing cross-section of people who attend these rallies, young and old, men and women, professional and non professional, working and retired, in good health and bad health, local and some from the outer boroughs, all so diverse but all with the common goal of preventing submission to arbitrary government programs. They see the writing on the wall. They understand the devastating, irreversible consequences of the Healthcare bill because many have educated themselves. They have read the parts of the bill that elicit concern and they are trying to educate others about it. They are doing the work our representatives delegate to their staff and our media deems unworthy to report. It was just this week, Wed. Aug. 5, that Arlen Specter irresponsibly said, "...when you have bills that are1000 pages ..... we divide up the bill... we have to make judgements very fast." He said this after being asked at a Town Hall meeting how he can vote confidently to reengineer our whole healthcare system. Is there any wonder people have mobilized, taken to the rallies and encouraged their neighbors to get informed ?

We have no confidence that our elected officials are performing on our behalf and the Town Hall meetings (if you can even arrange them) are indicating this every day. It is our duty to sustain this effort of reading bills, analyzing them, deciphering what impact they will have on our lives and educating others. We maintain that it is a necessary public service that we are providing, devoid of any self interest, unlike the pro healthcare operatives paid to show up at these events. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it and heard it myself. It was revealed to one of our members, during an exchange of ideas, that he(pro Healthcare plant) was being paid by the group that sent him. At 2:00 sharp, they promptly left their posts. Their shifts were over.I feel sorry for them, buying into a system that guarantees entitlement for the price of freedom.

We are a proud group of LIers who decided to come togehter on a beautiful summer day in Merrick, NY (August 3, 2009) to voice our discontent with self serving government policies. The only thing manufactured here, are the expansive policies that are designed to overwhelm the economy and create greater dependence on government. Mrs. Pellosi wants you to believe that our feelings of concern for the future of our country, are manufactured and played out at Tea Parties and Town Hall Meetings. She is defaming the character of hard working Americans by spreading vicious lies about them. She was asked by a Fox News reporter, " Do you think there's legitimate grassroots opposition going on here?" She replied, " I think they are Astroturf....you be the judge," Pellosi answered. "They're carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare. I've been to several Tea Party rallies and organized my own and have not witnessed any such signs. People are voicing opposition with clever sayings like, We Can't Afford Free Healthcare and Bigger Government Enslaves Us All. These are peaceful, well organized demonstrations intended to call attention to a Congress that forgot they work for the people and a president who forgot he leads, only because he was elected ( by a small margin) and he is master of nothing. He answers to the people. He shouldn't disregard our Constitution and send out edicts, like he did on Tues., Aug. 4, saying, if you get an email or see something on the web about healthcare reform that seems fishy send it to the Whitehouse at flag@whitehouse.gov.

Then on Fri.Aug.7, in his desperation, he resorts to totalitarian speak, saying,"I don't want folks who created the mess to do alot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess." Excuse me, Mr. Obama, but are you referring to the mess that started with the mortgage crisis that Barney Frank and your Economic advisor Franklin Raines had their hands in? Don't insult our intelligence Mr. Obama. You are dealing with the American people. We are willing to accept that which is unfamiliar and judge it on its merits. We are not stupid and will not tolerate abuse of power on loan from the PEOPLE, endowed by GOD.

The newswires are burning. Obama must pass his healthcare by the end of August. Is that what the American people want, another oppressive bill that won't even be read by most of the Congress, that will put an extra burden on the economy to the tune of 1 trillion in ten years. Not to speak of the loss of choice in health care coverage and in your personal care. Did you know there will be guidelines for the aging to determine whether they fit a profile worthy of procedures or treatments. Pretty SCARY stuff. These are just some of the scary things that a government run program will deliver. Compound this with Cap and Trade, Higher Taxes across the board, weakened Immigration controls. It's all about more government control, dependence on government, all in exchange for your FREEDOMS.
Every other day Obama calls a news conference to PUSH Obamacare down our throats in order to meet his August deadline before the Congress leaves for summer break. He got his media buddies to once again interrupt prime time scheduling so he can push his power grabbing agenda, tonite at 9:00PM on channel 2. Don't let him do it! You know what's right for America and our future, now exercise your constitutional right and use the powers granted you as an American citizen to stop this insanity before it's too LATE and you no longer enjoy the choices afforded by our God given right as stated so eloquently by our foreathers. There’s been a lot of health care uproar. What hit my radar most today was this: union members won’t be subjected to a new tax on health care under the new Baucus plan. As Jed Babbin writes today in Human Events, “It would penalize every non-union recipient of employer-provided healthcare benefits.” Here’s the article.

OBAMACARE FOR ALL EXCEPT THE GOVERNMENT No Opposition allowed

ObamaCare specifically exempts members of Congress along with federal employees; the exemptions are in section 3116. If nationalized medicine is good enough for us then they have have to suffer as well.

What makes this scam on the American people all the more Obama-disgusting? Who could forget when Obama was telling everyone he wanted the people to have a health care program just like Congress has? Remember that? But Congress knows it's crap: it exempts itself and federal employees from it.

The US is becoming more like the old USSR, where the old good jobs are government jobs and the only way to get something done is to have a "friend" in the government. The USSR or Chicagoland gangsta politics.

If Obama and his goons are going to destroy the best healthcare system in the world, they should be first on line for dirty scalpels and euthanasia. Or perhaps the left wing mainstream media should be first, as they are an embarrassing shill for dear leader.

Michelle Obama doesn't understand but we, Americans Understand the Plight of Military Families, We Always Have

'I think I was like most Americans,' she told ABC News. 'Pretty oblivious to the life of military families. Sort of taking it for granted.'", said Michelle Obama.

Don't put the American people in a category reflective of your views, Mrs. Obama. You describe yourself as oblivious to the plight of our military families. Most Americans do not share your limited understanding of the sacrifices of a military family. Most Americans would be shocked to hear how out of touch you really are. So when making such a cavalier statement, qualify the statement with a singular pronoun and leave the rest of us out of it. Actually, most Americans have such a deep respect for the sacrifices of their military that they tend to have them in their thoughts often and close to their hearts always. Is that a revelation, Mrs. Obama?

Obama Misguided Once Again

I left some things out of my last lines that are too significant to be left unsaid . They put the embodiment of this man in perspective. In an Op Ed piece written by Karl Rove last week, he very eloquently deflates Obama's comparison of himself to the honorable Abraham Lincoln.

Mr. Rove said, "President Barach Obama reveres Abraham Lincoln. But among the glaring differences between the two men is that Lincoln offered careful, rigorous, sustained arguments to advance his aims and, when disagreeing with political opponents, rarely relied on the lazy rhetorical device of "straw men". Mr. Obama, on the other hand, routinely ascribes to others views they don't espouse and says opposition to his policies is grounded in views no one really advocates."

On Tuesday night, Mr. Obama told Congress and the nation, "I reject the view that . . . says government has no role in laying the foundation for our common prosperity." Who exactly has that view? Certainly not congressional Republicans, who believe that through reasonable tax cuts, fiscal restraint, and prudent monetary policies government contributes to prosperity.

Mr. Obama also said that America's economic difficulties resulted when "regulations were gutted for the sake of a quick profit at the expense of a healthy market." Who gutted which regulations?

Perhaps it was President Bill Clinton who, along with then Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, removed restrictions on banks owning insurance companies in 1999. If so, were Mr. Clinton and Mr. Summers (now an Obama adviser) motivated by quick profit, or by the belief that the reform was necessary to modernize our financial industry?

Perhaps Mr. Obama was talking about George W. Bush. But Mr. Bush spent five years pushing to further regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He was blocked by Democratic Sen. Chris Dodd and Rep. Barney Frank. Arriving in the Senate in 2005, Mr. Obama backed up Mr. Dodd's threat to filibuster Mr. Bush's needed reforms.

Even in an ostensibly nonpartisan speech marking Lincoln's 200th birthday, Mr. Obama used a straw-man argument, decrying "a philosophy that says every problem can be solved if only government would step out of the way; that if government were just dismantled, divvied up into tax breaks, and handed out to the wealthiest among us, it would somehow benefit us all. Such knee-jerk disdain for government -- this constant rejection of any common endeavor -- cannot rebuild our levees or our roads or our bridges."

Whose philosophy is this? Many Americans justifiably believe that government is too big and often acts in counterproductive ways. But that's a far cry from believing that in "every" case government is the problem or that government should be "dismantled" root and branch. Who -- other than an anarchist -- "constantly rejects any common endeavor" like building levees, roads or bridges?

During his news conference on Feb. 9, Mr. Obama decried an unnamed faction in the congressional stimulus debate as "a set of folks who -- I don't doubt their sincerity -- who just believe that we should do nothing."

Who were these sincere do-nothings? Every House Republican voted for an alternative stimulus plan, evidence that they wanted to do something. Every Senate Republican -- with the exception of Judd Gregg, who'd just withdrawn his nomination to be Mr. Obama's Commerce secretary and therefore voted "present" -- voted for alternative stimulus proposals.

Then there's Mr. Obama's description of the Bush-era tax cuts. "A surplus became an excuse to transfer wealth to the wealthy," he explained in his Tuesday speech, after earlier saying, "tax cuts alone can't solve all of our economic problems -- especially tax cuts that are targeted to the wealthiest few."

The Bush tax cuts were not targeted to "the wealthiest few." Everyone who paid federal income taxes received a tax cut, with the largest percentage of reductions going to those at the bottom. Last year, a family of four making $40,000 saved an average of $2,053 because of the Bush tax cuts. The tax code became more progressive as the share paid by the top 10% increased to 46.4% from 46% -- and the nation experienced 52 straight months of job growth after the cuts took effect. And since when is giving back some of what people pay in taxes "transferring wealth?"

In his inaugural address -- which was generally graceful toward the opposition -- Mr. Obama proclaimed, "We have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord." Which Republican ran against him on fear, conflict and discord?

Mr. Obama portrays himself as a nonideological, bipartisan voice of reason. Everyone resorts to straw men occasionally, but Mr. Obama's persistent use of the device is troubling. Continually characterizing those who disagree with you in a fundamentally dishonest way can be the sign of a person who lacks confidence in the merits of his ideas.

It was said that Lincoln crafted his arguments in "resonant words that enriched the political dialogue of his age." Mr. Obama's straw men aren't enriching the dialogue of our age. They are cheapening it. Mr. Obama should stop employing them.

Mr. Rove is the former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush.

In Obama's speech that night there were other misconceptions put forth like telling Congress he doesn't believe in bigger government. If he doesn't believe in big government then what do you call the intrusion of government into the energy sector, health care, the financial industry, and the banking and mortgage industry. A government he proposes by any other name would be just as encompassing and controlling. Daniel Henninger, from the Wall Street Journal said it right, "It would be a reordered economic system, its direction chosen and guided by Mr. Obama and his inner circle." I don't know if you want that inner circle yielding that much power and financial influence, when most of them can't even gettheir own finances straight.

Read Between the Lines

READ BETWEEN THE LINES

Never before has it been so imperative to read between the lines. I know how hard it is to just stay abreast of the news. But it is now more than ever, our responsibility to read, digest and analyze the steps taken by this government in one month. It is apparent to me and many others that, at this speed, they are on a jet stream to a successful transformation of our country.

When have we ever seen or heard of such extreme measures taken so quickly. We have to stop and question the motives behind these measures. Sunday morning, March 1, 2009, on Face the Nation, I heard Rahm Emaunuel tell Bob Schieffer that he should not be concerned at the speed with which "economic recovery" is being enacted or about the content of these acts. Rahm Emaunuel's contention is that there should be no surprises here, President Hussein campaigned on extreme measures and he's faithfully carrying them out. He is being true to his promises whether they be worthy solutions to our economic crisis or the smokescreens that will produce irreversible conditions for generations, such as bigger government, spending out of control (negating his assertion that he can reduce the deficit), government intrusion into what we say, how we express faith, our reverence for life and deemphasizing a strong military, while advocating a totalitarian style civilian national security force.

There is a force within this man that is undetectable by many, hidden by the charm and allure of a personality, that can fool enough of the people most of the time, and repulse the rest of us all of the time. This obsession to present a palatable image became apparent when he identified himself as a Christian. We all know that he is anything but a Christian in the true sense of the word. His church is a spin off of Black Liberation Theology, no connection to Christian theology. It can be described as a perversion of Christianity. Then he adopted the Black American Slave experience as his own for the sake of intoxicating his adorers with his prose on the history of racism. Neither he nor his father share this story rooted in American history, but then again it adds so much more drama when you or your family have been a victim. And what about this name thing. He is Barack Obama for the primaries and the general election, and emerges as Barack Hussein Obama upon taking the oath of office. Are we to assume that with the emergence of a new identification, so too emerges a new or the old Barack Obama? Something to ponder.

I digress, to get back to the talk of the day, we have a responsibility to stay abreast of the critical economic and social policies Mr. Obama is promoting. We know he is using the economic crisis to promote and solidify changes that will establish a socialist machinery. America has a constitution to uphold, not the agenda of a power driven liberal whose ideology is in keeping with the European socialists. Keep in mind that it is our responsibility, starting now, to contact our representatives Republican and Democrat alike, in response to the most expensive budget ever proposed. You might say how could Obama be proposing such a thing in the middle of such a crisis. That is the thing, he's not really concerned with getting us back to sound economics (if he even understands that) He's concerned with satisfying the interest groups and supplying the pork. He can't possibly reduce the deficit with all the spending he's proposing, that's just another smokscreen to further his agenda. When you see the headlines or listen to the soundbites over the next few weeks about passing the most expensive budget that exceeds the total of all budgets since Washington through Reagan, up to Bush, ask yourself why.

Dear President Obama:

I have a straightforward question, which I hope you will answer in a straightforward way: Is it your intention to censor talk radio through a variety of contrivances, such as "local content," "diversity of ownership," and "public interest" rules -- all of which are designed to appeal to populist sentiments but, as you know, are the death knell of talk radio and the AM band?

You have singled me out directly, admonishing members of Congress not to listen to my show. Bill Clinton has since chimed in, complaining about the lack of balance on radio. And a number of members of your party, in and out of Congress, are forming a chorus of advocates for government control over radio content. This is both chilling and ominous.

As a former president of the Harvard Law Review and a professor at the University of Chicago Law School, you are more familiar than most with the purpose of the Bill of Rights: to protect the citizen from the possible excesses of the federal government. The First Amendment says, in part, that "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press." The government is explicitly prohibited from playing a role in refereeing among those who speak or seek to speak. We are, after all, dealing with political speech -- which, as the Framers understood, cannot be left to the government to police.

When I began my national talk show in 1988, no one, including radio industry professionals, thought my syndication would work. There were only about 125 radio stations programming talk. And there were numerous news articles and opinion pieces predicting the fast death of the AM band, which was hemorrhaging audience and revenue to the FM band. Some blamed the lower-fidelity AM signals. But the big issue was broadcast content. It is no accident that the AM band was dying under the so-called Fairness Doctrine, which choked robust debate about important issues because of its onerous attempts at rationing the content of speech.

After the Federal Communications Commission abandoned the Fairness Doctrine in the mid-1980s, Congress passed legislation to reinstitute it. When President Reagan vetoed it, he declared that "This doctrine . . . requires Federal officials to supervise the editorial practices of broadcasters in an effort to ensure that they provide coverage of controversial issues and a reasonable opportunity for the airing of contrasting viewpoints of those issues. This type of content-based regulation by the Federal Government is . . . antagonistic to the freedom of expression guaranteed by the First Amendment. . . . History has shown that the dangers of an overly timid or biased press cannot be averted through bureaucratic regulation, but only through the freedom and competition that the First Amendment sought to guarantee."

Today the number of radio stations programming talk is well over 2,000. In fact, there are thousands of stations that air tens of thousands of programs covering virtually every conceivable topic and in various languages. The explosion of talk radio has created legions of jobs and billions in economic value. Not bad for an industry that only 20 years ago was moribund. Content, content, content, Mr. President, is the reason for the huge turnaround of the past 20 years, not "funding" or "big money," as Mr. Clinton stated. And not only has the AM band been revitalized, but there is competition from other venues, such as Internet and satellite broadcasting. It is not an exaggeration to say that today, more than ever, anyone with a microphone and a computer can broadcast their views. And thousands do.

Mr. President, we both know that this new effort at regulating speech is not about diversity but conformity. It should be rejected. You've said you're against reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, but you've not made it clear where you stand on possible regulatory efforts to impose so-called local content, diversity-of-ownership, and public-interest rules that your FCC could issue.

I do not favor content-based regulation of National Public Radio, newspapers, or broadcast or cable TV networks. I would encourage you not to allow your office to be misused to advance a political vendetta against certain broadcasters whose opinions are not shared by many in your party and ideologically liberal groups such as Acorn, the Center for American Progress, and MoveOn.org. There is no groundswell of support behind this movement. Indeed, there is a groundswell against it.

The fact that the federal government issues broadcast licenses, the original purpose of which was to regulate radio signals, ought not become an excuse to destroy one of the most accessible and popular marketplaces of expression. The AM broadcast spectrum cannot honestly be considered a "scarce" resource. So as the temporary custodian of your office, you should agree that the Constitution is more important than scoring transient political victories, even when couched in the language of public interest.

We in talk radio await your answer. What will it be? Government-imposed censorship disguised as "fairness" and "balance"? Or will the arena of ideas remain a free market?

My First Blog

I'm Tj and I'm very excited to start blogging. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but was not sure how to do it or what to expect once I started. Well the first part was easy and the rest will unfold as I go. I hope to become acquainted quickly with the blogger's world. I anticipate it will be a journey filled with limitless possibilities of commentary, dialogue and conversation. I will have alot of things to comment on considering the course of events that have produced the "The One" who will be inaugurated in January as the next President.

Over the past few days I have been thinking, reading, listening, commenting, and wondering how I am going to remember all the information, events and situations that are occuring so quickly. Events, disclosures and decisions are laying the groundwork for an administration that needs to be closely monitored by the people. I propose that the task be put in the hands of people who have a keen understanding, based on the info they have accumulated throughout this long and arduous nominating process and presidential campaign.
I know there are many people who share the same goal, to watch over our great land while it is in the hands of those untested. In the first presiential-elect press conference given yesterday I questioned the comment Obama made about the backbone of American manufacturing being the auto industry. My inclination was validated when Larry Kudlow, finacial commentator commented to John Mcintyre (Real Clear Politics) that he found that statement to be incorrect. At the end of the press conference Obama clumsily misspoke when he said Nancy Reagan had seaances at the White House. Obama's less than impressive first press conference is a departure from the oratorical theater he displayed to the masses. And one other little aside, the mut comparison was unnecessary and stupid.
